Homestay @ 79

The hotel was nice but one thing that annoying is the bathroom smells so bad however AC works pretty well. The staff were very friendly too! They made delicious breakfast and I can use the kitchen as well.

We starre there for 4 days and did the surf camp and it was just amazing! Literally everyone who works there is super sweet and funny. When we went surfing we learned so much, felt safe and had so much fun. I wish we could stay way longer. 10/10 would recommend

Super nice people. It feels like coming home at this hostel. They are very willing to help you arrange things and get to know the local spots.

Simple hostel and very attentive staff. Unfortunately we had a bad experience: there was semen on the sheets, the pillows were moldy, and the air conditioning was leaking.

The rooms are really comfortable and clean. Aircon works well. The staff are really friendly and go out of their way to make sure the guest are happy and are always up for a laugh and chat. Staying here was very peaceful and enjoyable if you’re looking for somewhere quiet, comfortable and off the main strip. I enjoyed my stay here:)

Great team, whether renting a scooter, surfing, having breakfast. The staff are so helpful, friendly and like family. Rooms correspond to the price-performance ratio. We booked a room for ourselves as a couple.

By far the best hostel we have ever stayed in! Simply gigantic! We stayed in a 4-bed room and it really had everything your heart could desire: very clean room and bathroom, very comfortable beds, well-functioning air conditioning, huge and lockable closet. We got fresh towels and the breakfast is also very good and cheap. Everyone, the whole team, is just incredibly nice and helpful! I had an interview while staying at the hostel and the guys helped me with EVERYTHING. I was allowed into her private home to have the interview and Hendy even wanted to get me a white t-shirt! My girlfriend fell ill while we were in Lombok and without batting an eyelid we were offered a double room. Scooter hire also top notch. Super scooter, new helmets, and absolutely fair price! We really didn't miss anything. 1000% recommendation!

Surf camp is a relaxed local place to stay. Beautiful common balcony, guys working there so friendly and calm, comfortable beds. For the price you pay, rooms are basic, with here and there some problems, but you should be used to that if you’re traveling in tropics. Only one downside - reconsider if you are a light sleeper and coming during Ramadan (goes actually for whole Lombok). They activate 2 nearby mosques which are much louder than at Gilis for example. They have many many veeeery long prayers and even earplugs do not work.

People here are amazing and helpful, feels like home. Rooms are nice, good beds. Already gonna mis you Chicken, Cactus and Jasmine!

Surfcamp 79 is definitely the place to stay in Kuta. The rooms are really nice and the facilities as well. You have a lot of outdoor spaces to chill, even covered from the rain. We were 2 girls friends travelling in rainy season, and we spend some time with the staff (locals) playing games and joking. The staff is amazing and they definitely made our stay. They also rent scooter and can give surfguiding/lessons. I recommend 100%

So friendly staffs and i get helped so many times from them.always tried to make all customers happy and fun and chill in this hostel.i was supposted to be here couple nights but i stucked since i got here.youll see why when you get here ;)

Went to surf camp 79 for surf lessons with a friend. We had Aret has a teacher and he was really good, always had the good tips for us and always helpful on top of being really fun and friendly.
I'll definitely come back.

My trip here was amazing! I was supposed to stay only 2 days in Surf Camp 79 but I finally spent an entire month with them haha:)
The room has all facilities you need and it is clean. I also really liked the beautiful garden as well as the terasse for aftersurf chill times with the guys. The breakfast is lovely, I ate it every morning for one month and never get tired of it ahah. Finally, they got everything you need for surfing: surf guide, lesson, some boards and if you want something else, they will let you know where you can find it (easyy).

Hello there! Great stay in homestay @79! Very friendly and open staff. It just feels like home. The room was basic. Price quality it is good Room has AC and a little terrace with a little rack where you can put your wet clothes to try. Room has little light, the bathroom smelled a bit funny. We covered the drain with the mat and that improved a lot haha. You get free towels! The garden is well taken care off. There is a terrace with real sand and some sit sacks really nice to hang out after sunset. Free water refill. Breakfast is offered thee or coffee, omelet or pancake. Breakfast is basic but freshly made every morning by the staff? Thanks to Toni to rent out his lovely board. Really easy renting and staying. With a some slight adjustments in the rooms you can make a great surfcamp and stay! Best regards to Pat and my brother from another mother ;) Thank you for everything guys

I've stayed for 1 week in Homestay @ 79 and couldn't be better! The place is so nice, the staff is always helping you, you feel there like a big family! They have private and share room with AC, all clean and perfect. Also you can take surf class with Toni, best teacher in Kuta! Will miss you guys, see you when I see you, therima kasih!

Very comfortable homestay, not on the axis road so it's quiet. Bed, ac, toilet, etc are in good condition. Friendly and courteous service from local residents. Recommended homestay when visit lombok ️

Pot is the man. My boyfriend and I stayed here for over two weeks and Pot helped our friends and I with everything from making calls to banks and joining us and driving us to weekly parties. The rooms are clean, free water, nice terrace for sunsets and cool yet quiet atmosphere.

Awesome place. Perfect location, good views, quiet, great owner and staff. Definitely recommend staying here.

John and Pat! Such warm hosts, very helpful and kind. Clean rooms and bathrooms, free water and coffee all day. Bike rental for 50K and support to book any taxi transfers you want to the harbour (not the best rate for this, but it's convenient)
This hostel is cosy and comfortable and not like the regular social hostels.
