Mul's Surf School

Simply great! First you practice the movement on the beach. You can borrow UV shirts and boards. With Mul's help it worked very well from the first waves. We had two one-hour lessons each.
Now on the third day Mul saw us on the water and gave us a few tips and now we can do it without any help! It has transparent prices, unlike the competition. There is also delicious food and good drinks.

Great happy place! We took some surflessons with Kassim and felt good and safe all the time! He helped us very fast how to get up and surf our first whitewater waves within the first lesson. Great surf school! I had never surfed before and I was a bit scared, but Mul and his team were great surf instructors and we all had a blast! We also had something to eat after the surfing lesson, which was also very good and inexpensive.

Best surf school in Lombok! Don't look any further!

We were searching a surf school to improve our surfing and stumbled upon Mul's Surf School. We had a chat with Mul on the beach and immediately got a good connection with him. We have enjoyed our first lesson so much that after that we came back everyday for the rest of our stay in Lombok.

My girlfriend was a complete beginner and was able to progress immensely over just a few lessons. Most importantly she enjoyed the lessons and felt safe and confident with Mul. All the teaching was very gradual, paying attention to how person feels and what he/she needs.

As for me - I had surfed before and wanted to improve my skills. Mul was able to give me great tips after each wave and I saw a great improvement after each session. After a few sessions Mul suggested me to go to another beach and guided me through bigger waves! It was soooo much fun! I caught the wave of my life there and had best day ever!

All in all, Mul's Surf School will give you best surfing experience no matter what level you are! People working there are nice, emphatic, fun and we felt like we found a new family there. Mul himself is the nicest, most humble and happy person we've got to know that we can call our friend now.

Really good surf lessons and really friendly staff. Helped me and my partner learn to surf on our first ever lesson. The food is also absolutely amazing. I haven't tried it all of course, but it was the best nasi goreng/sambal I've had in Indonesia in a year of living here.

Mul is a super profesional and good hearted instructor. He has 10 years of experience and he can understand perfectly your feelings and needs in the water. I was very afraid of surfing and waves in general after a bad experience in the past. It was enough to meet and talk with Mul few minutes to understand how emphatic, kind and good hearted coach he is! It was my chance to try and I simply loved it!
His empathy, confidence and professional attitude made me to trust him immediately and book one lesson. Definitely I was right: he was so kind, gentle, patient and supportive during all of our lessons? Slowly I took away all my fears and I just enjoyed so much the ride! I learned so much and saw very impressive progress in a few days and the most important thing: I really loved the whole experience!
Mul is truly the best instructor! He noticed my personal needs (he was suggesting different things and to try different ways until I found the perfect one for me) and from the first lesson I stood up, it was super fun!
After each wave there is always a great tip and super useful feedback. For all these reasons we took lessons with him every single day of our staying here!
In case you are not beginner: he is also great for intermediate level, my boyfriend improved so much his surfing skills with Mul! ‍️ He can also take you to other spots with more challenging waves. His lessons are completely worth it and we will definitely come back to him when we will return to Lombok.

Besides his great surfing and teaching skills, Mul is such an honest, good hearted and supportive instructor, he treated us as family and we cannot thank him enough!

We did surf two days in Selong Belanak with Mul, we had a lot of fun and learned a lot. They want u to understand how to time the waves in stead of just help you to stand. They also help other people around and just have a good time together. If u wanna learn how to surf or u wanna get better at it i really recomment Mul's surf school!

Mul’s is the best surf school in Selong Belanak and possibly the whole of Indonesia. The other surf schools on the beach copy their methods best they can. With Mul’s techniques I was able to stand up and surf already on the third attempt. In addition, the Surf bar is like a family, you’ll become best friends with the entire crew, their children, and it’ll break your heart a little when it’s time for you to leave.
