Great experience with Jake, he was patient and very helpful for my first ever discovery dive. Also very interesting to learn about the conservation projects. Highly recommend.

One of the best if you are in south lombok. Take a boat taxi or if you're staying close the dive boat can pick you up.

We did a half-day diving experience with Oceanway. It was an incredible experience! We were able to see turtles, seahorses, lots of fish and magnificent corals! Big plus: having a French instructor who was able to explain everything to us in detail for a safe dive. Many thanks Nick!

I did my open water course at Oceanway. It is a great place to learn to dive, first dives ever and then directly on the house reef which is beautiful and amazingly cared for. Niek is a very competent and knowledgeable instructor. I can only recommend it, it is a good way also to experience the beauty and nature of Gili Asahan.

What can I say other than it is simply the best diving club I have ever been to. Top welcome. Top material. Top professionalism. Top spotlights. Neake and Jake are super nice and attentive to your desires. They alone deserve the passage through this island.

One of my personal Favorite Diving Places. Very professional and nice people are working there. They will help you with everything and will make your diving experience special. The marin life is really beautiful and intact. Saw allot special Nudibranches in one dive, which i didn’t saw in 15 other diving places in Indonesia together. From Frogfishes to Sharks, the spectrum you can see here is big. Also the new diving boat is a really nice touch and brings you comfortable in short time to the best divingspots. All together, i am thankful to have been able to dive here and i will come back soon for sure

A few months back I did 2 discovery dives with Jake. He was incredible. He was super patient answering my questions, explained the basics of diving really well and put me at ease above and below the water, always checking in and making sure I was comfortable. Not to mention he was great at spotting underwater life, was careful not to disturb the creatures and I got to see my first turtle!

I’ve since done my open water certification in Borneo, and can honestly say that the discovery dives with Jake made the certification experience so much easier and better.

I have no terms of comparison, since it was my first dive, but Niek was an extraordinary teacher and the experience was absolutely unforgettable! The seabed is an explosion of marine fauna and colors, which Oceanway tries to preserve with coral restocking initiatives.

Jake is a superb guy who is running the Diving institute at the serene location of Gili Asahan. He is running this right next to Pearl Beach resort. We had 1 dsd session with Jake at their house reefs which is very close to the shore. Jake gave us proper instructions before the dive and also took care of us during the dive too. Would love to go in a deep water diving once we acquire better swiming skils though.

I did my Rescue Diver course here with Nick and had an amazing time! Niek is a brilliant instructor and we had lots of fun together. Would highly recommend this dive centre for both courses and fun dives!

Great Dive Center, we did two courses with Instructor Niek (OWD, AOWD), everything is well organized and everyone very flexible. Contact before the courses with owner jake was easy too. Always felt safe and nice and relaxing dive sites. Not as spectacular as other parts of Indonesia but nice Makro stuff and nice reefs. Prices wear very good. Recommended, especially when staying on the island.

Thanks Niek for taking us to incredible corals garden and didnt expect to see sea turtles there! And also thank you to show us great example that scuba diving also means to take care the environment around you (Niek took plastic trash that almost bitten by the puffer fish)

Diving with Oceanway was an absolute pleasure! Jake is an excellent dive instructor who clearly loves his job. Our dives were a perfect combination of adventure, safety and fun, while being appropriately challenging. The whole team is so lovely that you forget you're a client. The island itself is a gem. And the dogs are adorable. Don't miss out!

Jake and his crew do a perfect job on Gili Asahan - not only by showing us beautiful dive spots and the local underwater life. But also they are taking care of the reef in front of the beach. Never getting tired planting corals and raising awareness for the environment. We had wonderful days there and will try to come back in the future again. Oceanway and the owner Jake provided outstanding training (we took our Open Water) in showing great patience and attention to details. This is a perfect place for both beginner and experienced divers. The equipment was of a high standard, the organization / coordination of all dive activities and it was a tonne of fun. We highly recommend Oceanway!

Jake and his crew are awesome! Easy to communicate, fun, flexible, coming with good equipment and good knowledge about the area. Such a great experience to dive with them while in Gili Asahan.

Had a super chill time at Oceanway. The place is very new and clean, and the breakfast is delicious. The restaurant where you have breakfast also serves good food. As vegetarians we still had lots of options and the chef would even do non-menu dishes for us on request. The staff is super nice and Jake, the owner and dive instructor, will be a missed good friend. The island is beautiful with stunning beach all around. Even though we were there during the pandemic and virtually alone guests on the entire island, you could tell from walking around that it has to be quiet in normal times as well.

The diving in the area is also very good, especially for macro. But after many years in the area Jake has loads of experience and will also take you to more exposed sites around the corner to the west, for bigger stuff. So you can get a good mix of warm comfy diving and crazy currents. Jake is also a very good instructor in my estimation, and I'm happy I decided to do my rescue course with him. Oceanway is also a great base for Belongas Bay, as Jake is close friends with the Wild Scuba guys (which has to be the best option by far for that area), located just across the water on the Lombok mainland.

All in all a great experience, and our initial 5 day stay ended at 16, and I hope to be back soon.

I have done a lot snorkeling before but i was never really interested in diving but the guys at Oceanway convinced me to give to give it a try and i ended up walking away with my open water license.i am already thinking about my next diving here as the guys were so informative and seem to know everything about diving and the under water life.i am planning to do my advanced license next time as the guy here are going to take me on some special dives that require a little more experience and hopfully some close encounters with some sharks and other big fish!
