Roy Reef Lombok Surf School

Roy was exceptionally helpful and was very catering to what we needed for a surf board. I would massively reccendd him and his family for your surf lessons. They are a mind of of information and we will be back soon!

I found Roy Reef on our mission to find a surf school for my daughter. Roy and Nabila were really good teachers and so much fun to be around with. My daughter really enjoyed the two days surf she had with Nabila (that we called him Pak Legend). She has had surf lesson multiple times in the US but she felt like she learned more in those two days than the tenth times she had before.

Roy has expert knowledge of the area and is a great coach. He knows what breaks are best for you based on ability- plus he's a super fun and entertaining guy

Roy will give you a surf experience you will never forget! I have spent a couple of months in Kuta Lombok en Roy was the best teacher and friend I had in those months! He will always know when en where it is best to surf and will bring you there with a big smile.surfing with him made me a way better surfer so I deffinatly recommend him! Can't wait to go back myself and spend some more surf days with this guy <3

Before coming to Roy I had never picked up a board before, after just 2 lessons I feel I have learned so much and feel confident in what I know so far he is a great teacher, when we were in the water it was clear how much he cared compared to other teachers shouting and communicating with me at all times and ensuring I got the most from my session and stayed safe. He gave me a introduction before the lesson began and then made sure we had a full two hours in the water before a de brief after telling me where I did well and where I could improve. I would recommend Roy to anyone as a coach but also a great guy with great English, just wish I had longer on Lombok to do some More lessons with him! Thanks Mate!

Roy is an absolute legend in and outside the water, always in good spirits as well. He's super talented at surfing, and is really in tune with the ocean. He gave us all really good pointers during our time in Lombok. I hope to see you again soon brother!

Roy is one of those great guys that decided to start teaching on his own. He was very chill, with good english and catered to our needs and level perfectly. In the water he was kind and did not laugh at their customers and always gave good feedback. He also was always aware of the surroundings and respectful of other surfers around us, something that cannot be said from other bigger schools. We had a great day and he really knew when to get in the water to make the best out of our time. Two hours in the water was more than enough. I really recommend you give him a chance, he will surely not disappoint.

I had one lesson with Roy and had a super Good and fun time. Could also improve my surfing through his tips and helped me a lot. What you have to consider is that boat is not included in the lessons price when you go out for reef surfing. Didn’t know that before. But was still a good price)

Roy is great! He is a knowledgeable and professional surf instructor and guide. His knowledge of the various spots is impeccable, and it guarantees you always hit the right one at the right time/tide/swell. Roy is funny, easy going but always attentive. I can't recommend him enough. I am looking forward to surfing with him again.
