Satu Hati Homestay Ekas Mantap

We stayed 2 weeks. Place was nice and big, I can see they are trying their best.
Money wise, Please wright it down what you eat, drink, anything to do with them. Otherwise expect for a surprise bill.
When he offers you to take you to somewhere (eg; Kuta), even sounds like, "while Jamil is going", he will ask you full tank $$$ like the tour price, when you at ATM, looking over the shoulder, suggest you to take more money out.
Take you to the extensive hotel for lunch (incl him) & buy some present/ superior for his family to take home.
We wanted to look around but felt uncomfortable with him following us around.
Currency is cheap, but the "ATTITUDE"!

Food wise, there is "Salma's Warung" nearby, Jamil's sister runs, her dishes are delicious & more than half the price! Also, every other eaterys are compared to Satu hati.

Basic room with even more basic bathroom. Bucket for flushing the toilet and a pipe for cold shower for IDR300k per night. Worst part is the rats making a racket running around the ceiling the whole night. Didn’t sleep at all. Give this place a miss.

This would not be so easy. Because a owners seem be nice. But I must be honest, because I did the reviews multiple times.
We travel long time and get a lot of accomodation (and some of them was incredibly for same price).
We tooked booking reservation for 150 rupiah with breakfast. I don't expected hotel in Europa.
We came in the celebration of the end of Ramadan, they was suprised, that we came. That was OK.
After that the owner tell us, that we used more elektricity for aircondition. The room was not so well ventilated.
And they forgot for the breakfast, because they get to visit the family in Ramadan (but it wasn't so difficuld to tell it evenings).
I hope, that the owners get it better not only with words.

We spent in Ekas Mantap homestay two weeks. The owner Jamil is a very friendly and talkative person. The rooms are basic, but comfortable. The cleanliness wasn't perfect (don't look under the bed), on the other side I appreciate the good internet connection a lot! Unfortunately, a couple of unpleasant situations left us with very mixed feelings about Ekas Mantap. After rejecting Jamil's offer of the "meal packages" he wasn't so friendly anymore (we tried the first dinner there and for 30k we got a meal what in any warung would cost about 10K-15k). We found super cheap and tasty food on the main road (7km from the homestay) what we bought for lunch and also for our dinner as a package. After one week Jamil's asked us not to eat the food from outside in front of other guests, because they might ask where we got it. And that isn't good for his business - of course. We said "ok" and ate dinners in our room instead of the terrace. Even after.the last two days they made us feel they don't want us there any more. Sometimes they didn't even greet us. One evening we wanted to light a cigarette on the beach what is two minutes from the homestay so we asked Jamil to borrow us a lighter. He lent us a lighter but asked 1000 rupiah if we take it away for 30min to the beach.
The most unpolite situation was, when one morning they brought the usual banana pancake for breakfast, and one quarter of the pancake was missing - while the other guests got a whole pancake. Hm. As a bonus the next (last) day we got a whole! Pancake, but not fresh - It was stiff, partially heated up, probably from the previous day. Facepalm. After this I can say, that the owners are nice to their guests only if they pay what they expect to pay (take the room and accept the offer for the food package).
