Very good school!
I had never taken a lesson before. The first day of a beginner's course at the beach to learn the basics.
The next day a slightly more intensive course in the middle of the ocean with more pronounced waves but a lot more fun and the instructor is always there to help you.
I recommend, they are all attentive and there to help you. You can also with photos of the session but for a fee.

We did a 2 hour surfing lesson and had a great time on the water. The instructors were super chill and gave us good instructions, so that we were able to catch our first waves.

I had an amazing time with this surfschool.emet gave me the best support to try different boards and surf in different spots, so that i was able to bring my surf skills onto the next level.highly recommended!

Best waves, best people. Incek organized everything perfectly and we got to go out to a couple of fantastic spots with a nice boat captain and fantastic instructor, Osan. They all took great care of us, made sure we were safe and having fun, and really maxed out our wave count. All for a very fair price. Osan was amazing to be in the water with. What can I say… local legends.
One time our driver got intercepted by some random surf guys at the pier who tried to divert us onto a boat with some random instructor but Incek came down right away and sorted everything out and we still had a fantastic day. He’s always responsive and helpful.
Thanks so much for everything Incek. When we come back to Lombok, we’re definitely going to surf with you and Osan! You’re the best!

The nicest guy in Lombok, very easy to do business with, he's very honest. We bought fins and a leash from him, and then we sold back + two surfboards. We'll see each other next year.

I spent a week learning to surf and making friends with the crew at Sunset Surf. Good vibes and a memorable experience.

Great guys, good honest team.
With alot of knowledge of the area and the surf, cheap quality rentals and transport to and from your accommodation to the surf if need.
They also went out of there way to help get surf racks for my bike at a reasonable price.
As well fixing it for me.

Sneaky salesman or scam?
We paid over the average for what was advertised as a beginner surf lessons package with everything included, board, taxi, boat, 1 instructor per person, 3 hour session, and covered for any damage to equipment. Instead, the reality is.
️ NOT 1 instructor per person as we paid for.
️ 2 hour only
️No taxi, must drive ourselves to the location.
️ Extremely unsafe surf for beginners. 2 meter high waves which crash you into rocks if you're in the wrong place. More than 50 people in the same spot. My girl sat out of the rest of the session after nearly killing someone on the first wave. However the boat had gone with all our stuff (water, sunscrean etc) so she sat on the surf board outside the danger area for 2 hours! And got very sunburnt.
️ After returning the surfboard and gear ourselves the salesman immediately found a small 1cm damage to the board and tried to charge me 400,000 for it.
There are better options available

Excellent place to rent a motorbike. It was new and at very good place. Also they organise my shuttle to sengigi and they are very professional

Great location for beginners, we managed to stand up loads of times! Our teacher was great and super friendly. Very well organized would recommend:)

Beware they will try and scam you of money! Pin damage on you and charge you over double the going rate for replacement parts to cover a couple of scratches. Please read the blogs before you hire in Lombok and Kuta!
