We had a great time with Terry and the team!
The diving, the food, the location and especially Terry and the team made us feel extremely comfortable! It's a family atmosphere and Terry really does everything in his power to see the guests happy! He takes care of every concern and is very happy to help.
The beachfront bungalows have a breathtaking view of Manado and Sulawesi. However, it is not a luxury resort either, which means that the bungalows are simply getting old.
But we still felt comfortable and Terry is already busy renovating.
I'm pretty sure we will book Seabreeze again!
Thank you for everything! It was a great time with you

Awesome! Back to basic, but exactly what you need, and very important, clean. Food was very tasty 3 times a day. It was very nice to eat together with other guests at a long table, because of that we made so many new friends. Diving and snorkeling was great too. I was nervous because it was my first dive after getting my Padi, but Terry managed to put me at ease so I was able to make some nice dives.

No words can describe how much I love this place! Very helpful and accomodating staff, super friendly Diving masters, and if you want to get a diving certificate, Terry the owner is your choice! The seafront room I stayed is lovely as well where I watched sunrise in the morning. Just outside of the resort it is also an amazing place for snorkeling (I saw sea cow mom and baby there can you believe it). Highly recommended!

I have been to Seabreeze Resort on Bunaken 15 times over the past 9 years and I intend to return until I can no longer dive. I am 72 years and find that the sea conditions are appropriate to my physical condition.
Bunaken as an island always has a side free from rough seas, although whilst I have been there I have not experienced any rough conditions. No days diving have been cancelled due to weather. There are a large number of dive sites available, some of which, particularly the wall dives are world renowned.
The resort is budget based, clean and comfortable with friendly, honest, helpful management and staff.
Electric power is not available 24/7 (provided by a generator in the nearby village and with a backup generator on site), consequently the fans in the rooms do not run all the time. With the the village generator currently being replaced this may change.
Fresh water at ambient temperature is available for washing and rinsing, hot water is not.
Apart from breakfast, meals generally consist of rice with fish or chicken, and local vegetables. For me the highlight of the cuisine are the fresh spices in the cooking sauces.
Terry, the dive operations manager and instructor is patient when instructing novices and appears to have a very high and honest pass rate with his clientele. I note a recent failure with a dive course and can only comment that it may take more time than originally allowed for for a trainee to be comfortable with some aspects of diving.
Apart from water based activities there is little in the way of alternative activities other than rest, alternative activities as such generally require a day trip back on the mainland.

I have reviewed a number of the negative reviews and generally consider them misplaced or out of time. For example water from the taps is slightly "salty" as it is from an on site bore, however the fresh water available for rinsing is from the newly constructed desalination plant on the island. The majority of the adverse comments about price appear to come from Indonesians, and it may be that they fail to acknowledge the additional costs associated with island living such as generators and boat costs for transportation of everything - fuel, food, water etc.

I acknowledge that I am less bothered by mosquitoes and other "bities" than others, but I have noticed a significant absence of these pests, probably due to the lack of stagnant ponds as breeding grounds as the rocky ground is highly porous.

Overall the resort is of good value and I have no reservations in recommending it.

Bunaken Seabreeze was a delighteful honeymoon spot. The staff will go above and beyond to accommodate your preferences and make the stay wonderful. We stayed in the resort 5 nights. The bungalows on the beach have beautiful views of the ocean and sunrise is particularly stunning!

During our 5 night stay we dove 7 times. 6 of the dives were wall dives. Each of the wall dives were better than we could have imagined; a plethora of fish, a Pygmy sea horse, pipefish, rays, octopus, and other amazing sea creatures were spotted throughout our dives. The last dive we did was a night dive. At night we were exposed to different sea life not quite as teaming as the morning dives but no less amazing. Also, the bioluminescent fish and plankton were a highlight of that night dive.

Overall, this was a great part of our journey to Indonesia and we would definitely recommend this location. Some things to be aware of are the fact that this is not a luxury resort! Despite that we would have no reservations about coming back to this surreal spot in the world, and specifically to Bunaken Seabreeze resort.

Honestly don't have enough good things to say about this place. The owners Terry and Dee are just lovely and extremely experienced and knowledgeable about the area. Dive instructor Chris was great and our dive guide Demsey knew all there was to know about the area. Food is good too. Love its down to earth rustic atmosphere. Cant wait to go back.

First of all:

The view from the seaside bungalows and the reefs on the island are absuloutely stunning.
Thats about it.

We booked for three nights for two persons which is approx. 80€/per night and left early after two nights.

This was because the room was not cleaned properly (rat feces) and rats strolling through the rooms at night.

When Confronted - the owner tried to convince me that whe hadn't seen rats but "land crabs". Next argument was "rats are normal on an indonesian island".

tldr: view and snorkeling: stunning, rats in rooms
